Audi A4 B6 S-line Honeycomb Bumper Grille Set – Upgrading the Front-End Design

The S-line/USP bumper differs from the standard Audi A4 B6 bumper, which means that many commonly available aftermarket grilles do not fit correctly.

Even when individual Audi A4 B6 fog light grilles can be found, matching them with a center bumper grille featuring the same design can be considerably more difficult.

This creates a visual mismatch across the front bumper — especially when upgrading to a honeycomb-style design.

Our objective was therefore to create a complete solution specifically for the Audi A4 B6 S-line bumper.

Matching S-line/USP Fog Light Grilles

The set uses S-line/USP fog light grilles for both sides, corresponding to OEM references 8E0807681C and 8E0807682C.

Their honeycomb structure gives the front bumper a more aggressive appearance while retaining the original position and shape of the fog light openings.

Instead of treating the left and right fog light grilles as separate visual elements, the complete front bumper was considered as one design.

That meant the center grille needed to follow the same styling language.

Custom Audi A4 B6 Honeycomb Bumper Grill

The center Audi A4 B6 bumper grill was custom-made using the OEM dimensions of the S-line/USP bumper opening.

Rather than using a universal mesh insert or modifying an unrelated grille, the component was designed specifically for this bumper.

The honeycomb pattern was selected to visually correspond with the fog light grilles, creating a consistent appearance across all three lower bumper openings.

This is particularly important with grille upgrades. Even small differences in cell size, spacing or proportions can make individually replaced components look unrelated once installed on the vehicle.

Designed for Direct S-line Bumper Fitment

Another important part of the design was installation.

The Audi A4 B6 S-line honeycomb bumper grill is dimensioned so that it fits directly into the bumper opening without requiring a separate exterior frame. The frame dimensions are already incorporated into the grille itself.

This keeps the installation cleaner while maintaining the proportions of the original bumper.

The complete set is specifically intended for the Audi A4 B6 S-line/USP bumper and should not be confused with grilles designed for the standard A4 B6 front bumper.

A Complete Honeycomb Grille Conversion

Using matching components across the bumper creates a much more unified front-end appearance than replacing only one grille.
